las vegas stadium authority are scrambling to finish a lease agreement on a new 65,000 seat stadium that will sit just off the las vegas strip. in order to have the stadium completed and ready to go by the 2020 season, the lease needs to be approved at the nfl owners meeting on may 22nd . if the lease agreement isn't ready in time, the next owners meeting isn't until october. any delay would almost certainly mean construction would be postponed and the stadium wouldn't be finished until 2021. currently the last year the raiders can play at the oakland coliseum is the 2019 season.sotfor me, i would never vote for an extension of the raiders lease agreement. city councilman larry reid has

been very vocal about his disappointment that the team is leaving oakland. he says that if the raiders come looking for an extension on their lease, they will not get his blessing.sotas long as i'm a member of the joint powers authority and the oakland city council i wouldn't support it. reid says it unacceptable that the team was given the nfl's blessing to move before a lease agreement was in place. sotthat the nfl just arbitrarily did something that they've never done is allow a team to relocate in another jurisdiction without having all the i's dotted and all the t's crossed. wreid also says there hasn't been any communication between the raiders and the city of oakland for quite some time. he like everyone else is watching from a distance as the move goes forward.sotso we will have to wait and see how everything plays out. on september 9, 2010, pg&e learned a tragic lesson we can never forget. this gas pipeline ruptured in san bruno. the explosion and fire killed eight people. pg&e was convicted of six felony charges including five violations of the u.s. pipeline safety act and obstructing an ntsb investigation. pg&e was fined, placed under an outside monitor, given five years of probation, and required to perform 10,000 hours of community service. we are deeply sorry. we failed our customers in san bruno. while an apology alone will never be enough, actions can make pg&e safer. and that's why we've replaced hundreds of miles of gas pipeline, adopted new leak detection technology that is one-thousand times more sensitive,
